Depart Fes at 8:00 AM and journey south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Pass through the alpine town of Ifrane and the Cedar Forests of Azrou. Descend into the pre-Saharan region, following the lush, palm-filled Ziz Valley. Arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga in the late afternoon. Here, you’ll mount camels for a scenic trek into the dunes to witness a breathtaking sunset. Your first night is spent at a comfortable, well-equipped desert camp, complete with a traditional dinner and Berber music under a canopy of stars.

Travel through the scenic Dades Valley, famous for its unique rock formations known as “Monkey Fingers.” Drive through the fragrant Valley of Roses (spectacular in May) and the extensive palm groves of the Skoura Oasis.
