This 2-day adventure takes you from the “Door of the Desert” in Ouarzazate to the golden sands of the Sahara. You’ll journey through stunning valleys and gorges, explore historic sites, and spend a magical night in a luxury desert camp before returning via the lush Draa Valley. It’s a perfect, condensed immersion into Morocco’s diverse landscapes and rich culture.
Your tour begins with an 8:00 AM pickup from your Ouarzazate hotel. Drive through the lush Skoura Oasis and visit the historic Kasbah Amridil. Continue through the fragrant Rose Valley (spectacular in spring) to the towering cliffs of Todra Gorge, where you can enjoy lunch and take an optional walk. Travel via Tinjdad and the fossil town of Erfoud before arriving at the golden dunes of Merzouga in the late afternoon. Here, a camel trek will carry you into the Erg Chebbi dunes for a breathtaking sunset. You’ll spend the night at a traditional desert camp, enjoying a Berber dinner and stargazing.

Wake early for a spectacular desert sunrise. After breakfast at the camp, ride your camel back to Merzouga village. Depart for the historic town of Rissani to explore its lively traditional market and important mausoleum. Enjoy lunch in N’kob before embarking on the scenic highlight of the return journey: the magnificent Draa Valley. Follow the river through a seemingly endless palm oasis, stopping for photos along the way. You’ll arrive back in Ouarzazate by approximately 5:00 PM, where your tour concludes.
