A quick and immersive escape into the heart of the Sahara. This 2-day express tour is designed for travelers short on time but eager to experience the iconic magic of Morocco’s desert. Starting and ending in Errachidia, this fast-paced itinerary includes a sunset camel trek, a night under the stars in a traditional camp, and a visit to a bustling local market.
Your desert adventure begins at 9:00 AM with a pickup from your Errachidia hotel. Next, you will drive through the striking Ziz Valley to enjoy panoramic views of its sprawling palm oasis. Afterwards, the route passes through the fossil town of Erfoud before arriving at the edge of the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. In the late afternoon, embark on a scenic camel trek across the golden sands, where you can pause to capture the stunning sunset and try optional sandboarding. Finally, you’ll arrive at a traditional desert camp where the staff welcomes you with mint tea, followed by a hearty Moroccan dinner and an evening of Berber music under a star-filled sky.

Start your day early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, return to Merzouga village by camel or 4WD. Then, begin the journey back to Errachidia, making a stop at the lively traditional market in Rissani (especially vibrant on Sundays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays). Following a final lunch along the route, you’ll arrive in Errachidia by mid-afternoon. We will then drop you off at your hotel or the airport, concluding your short but memorable Saharan escape.
