After breakfast, meet your local guide for a full-day exploration of the UNESCO-listed Fes el-Bali. Discover its labyrinthine alleys, visiting the Royal Palace gates, the historic Jewish Mellah, the Al-Qarawiyyin University, and the famous Chouara Tannery. Explore vibrant souks and artisan workshops before returning to your riad.

Depart Fes for the north. Your first stop is the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO site. After exploring its mosaics, continue into the Rif Mountains, arriving at the enchanting Chefchaouen in the afternoon. Enjoy free time to wander its famous blue-painted streets.

Travel to the Strait of Gibraltar. Visit Cap Spartel, where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, and the legendary Hercules Cave. After exploring Tangier, continue south to the capital, Rabat. Discover Casablanca this morning, focusing on the magnificent Hassan II Mosque overlooking the Atlantic. Take a walk along the Corniche and see Mohammed V Square. In the afternoon, drive to Marrakech and check into your riad in the medina.

With a local guide, uncover the wonders of Marrakech. Visit the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the bustling souks. Find tranquility in the Majorelle Garden and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, and see the iconic Koutoubia Mosque. The day culminates in the vibrant Jemaa el-Fnaa square.

Depart Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a famed ancient fortress. Continue through Ouarzazate and along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” arriving in the Dades Valley by evening.

After breakfast, visit the stunning Todra Gorge for a walk between its towering cliffs. Continue toward the desert, arriving at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga by late afternoon. Wake early for a magnificent desert sunrise. After breakfast, return to Merzouga village and begin the drive back to Fes. Travel through the Ziz Valley oasis, stop for lunch in Midelt, and pass through the Cedar Forests of Azrou and the town of Ifrane. Arrive in Fes by evening.
