Day 1: Arrival in Fes

Welcome to Morocco. Upon your arrival at Fes-Saïs Airport, our team will greet you and provide a comfortable transfer to your riad or hotel within the historic medina. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and settle in.

Day 2: A Guided Immersion in Ancient Fes

After breakfast, meet your expert local guide for a full-day exploration of the UNESCO-listed Fes el-Bali. Navigate its labyrinthine alleys to visit the ornate Bou Inania Madrasa, the vibrant Chouara Tannery, and the historic Al-Qarawiyyin University. Explore the bustling souks and artisan quarters before returning to your riad for the evening.

Day 3: Roman Ruins & the Blue City, Chefchaouen

Depart Fes for the north. Your first stop is the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site where you can walk among well-preserved mosaics. Continue into the Rif Mountains, arriving at the enchanting Chefchaouen in the afternoon. Enjoy free time to wander its famous blue-painted streets at your own pace.

Day 4: The Strait of Gibraltar: Tangier

Journey to the coast to explore Tangier, the historic gateway at the Strait of Gibraltar. Visit Cap Spartel, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea, and explore the legendary Hercules Cave. Discover the city’s vibrant Kasbah and enjoy views of the Spanish coast. Spend the night in Tangier.

Day 5: The Imperial Capital, Rabat, to Casablanca

Travel south to Morocco’s capital, Rabat. Here, visit the iconic Hassan Tower and the ornate Mohammed V Mausoleum. Explore the picturesque blue-and-white streets of the Kasbah of the Udayas overlooking the Atlantic. In the afternoon, continue to the bustling metropolis of Casablanca.

Day 6: Casablanca & Arrival in Marrakech

Discover Casablanca’s modern marvel, the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, perched on the edge of the ocean. Take a walk along the Corniche before driving inland in the afternoon to the vibrant Marrakech. Check into your riad in the medina.

Day 7: Exploring the Red City, Marrakech

With a local guide, uncover the wonders of Marrakech. Visit the opulent Bahia Palace, the secretive Saadian Tombs, and the bustling souks. Find tranquility in the beautiful Majorelle Garden and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum. The day culminates in the unforgettable spectacle of Jemaa el-Fnaa square.

Day 8: Over the High Atlas to Ait Ben Haddou & Dades Valley

Depart Marrakech and cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a legendary clay fortress and film location. Continue through Ouarzazate and along the scenic “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” arriving in the Dades Valley by evening.

Day 9: Todra Gorge & Camel Trek into the Sahara

After breakfast, visit the stunning Todra Gorge for a walk between its towering limestone cliffs. Continue towards the desert, arriving at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga by late afternoon. Mount camels for a serene trek into the dunes to watch a breathtaking sunset. Arrive at your desert camp for a night of traditional Berber hospitality.

Day 10: Desert Exploration & a Night at a Luxury Desert Camp

Wake early for a spectacular desert sunrise. After breakfast, enjoy a 4×4 tour of the desert region, visiting a nomadic family and the village of Khamlia for a performance of spiritual Gnawa music. In the afternoon, transfer to a luxurious desert camp for your second night amidst the dunes, offering enhanced amenities and another exquisite dinner under the stars.

Day 11: Scenic Return Journey from the Sahara to Fes

After a final desert breakfast, begin the scenic drive back to Fes. Travel through the vast palm oasis of the Ziz Valley, stop for lunch in Midelt, and pass through the Cedar Forests of Azrou (home to Barbary macaques) and the alpine-style town of Ifrane. Arrive in Fes by early evening.

Day 12: Departure from Fes
