3 Days Desert Tour from Errachidia to Marrakech

Day 1: Errachidia to Merzouga Desert Camp

Your tour begins at 9:00 AM with a pickup from your Errachidia hotel. Enjoy panoramic views of the lush, emerald Ziz Valley oasis before driving through the fossil town of Erfoud. Arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the golden Erg Chebbi dunes in the afternoon. Embark on a scenic 1.5-hour camel trek across the sands, pausing to watch a breathtaking sunset and try sandboarding. Continue to your desert camp for a welcome of mint tea, a traditional dinner, and an evening of Berber music under a blanket of stars.

Day 2: Sunrise, Rissani Market & Todra Gorge to Dades Valley

Wake early for a spectacular desert sunrise. After breakfast, return to Merzouga village by camel. Visit the lively traditional market in Rissani (if your visit falls on a market day: Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday). Travel to Tinghir and explore the stunning Todra Gorge, walking between its towering 300-meter-high limestone cliffs. After lunch, drive through the scenic Dades Valley, famous for its winding roads and ancient kasbahs. Spend the evening at a hotel nestled within this dramatic landscape.

Day 3: Rose Valley, Ait Benhaddou & Over the Atlas to Marrakech

After breakfast, depart through the fragrant Rose Valley (spectacular in spring) to Ouarzazate. Visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah and the famous Atlas Film Studios. Then, explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, an ancient fortified village perched on a hillside. Begin the final leg of your journey, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Stop at scenic viewpoints and Berber villages before descending into Marrakech, where your tour concludes in the evening.
